October 24th, 2011 As you may or may not have noticed, I haven’t written any articles in the last few days. That’s because I’m closing up shop. I’ve found that blogging has taken away a little too much from the things I wanted to get done.
Right now, I’m learning French and web design, as well as working on the homemaking skills that I sorely lack. And this is in addition to figuring out the whole parenting thing!
It’s been a pleasure to meet and chat with all of you. If you want to stay in touch, I’ll probably continue posting things on Google+. Add me to your circles if you want to keep up with Iron Chef Calgary, my French studies, and any other projects I might complete.
Thanks for reading! I’ve had a really great time connecting with you.

Yeah…
Turns out that our portable dishwasher hates us and decided not to drain properly. Of course, we were …

The old way to study.
I’ve completed 2 weeks of studying and practicing French, and it’s definitely turning into a habit. Yay me!
I’ve learned a lot so far, and I think I’m doing a pretty good job of studying every day. Luckily, I’ve had a lot of resources to help me out with …

I love free printables. I love searching for them, downloading them, and hanging them up or using them in my house.
So when I stumbled across this Halloween Printable at Sweet Coconut Lime, I just knew I had to have it. And then, because it’s so pretty, I decided to make a free …

I spotted this beautiful bedroom over at Budget Wise Home. And the best part is the DIY artwork over the headboard. That’s something I could actually do! You should definitely check out the tutorial to see even more pictures.

To allow Seb to get his creativity on and make meal planning more fun, we’ve decided to start doing an Iron Chef themed meal each week. Of course, our rules are a bit different from the show. We obviously don’t have that kind of money to burn, but wouldn’t it …
